project 365: day #1

it’s been a busy couple of weeks leading up to the new year. but between searching for a part-time bartending gig and landing the james nachtwey inernship, i’d say busy is good. i’m hoping that this internship (starts on january 6th) will get me out of this creative rut i’ve been in for the past couple of months. i think that project 365 will help with that, too.

project 365 is a way for photographers to see things differently than they usually do. to hone their craft. just to get out there and shoot with a purpose. i will take a picture everyday for the next 365 days (hence, the title of the project). it’s not a new years resolution. it’s more of an initiative for me. so here’s the first shot. day 1. commence project 365!

  1. Jake, I am a HUGE James Nachtwey fan!! I studied him in a History of Photography class and I’ve loved his stuff ever since. Congratulations on the internship, that’s so awesome.
